Privacy Policy

Bridgestone Software Co., Ltd., (hereinafter referred to as “Company”) deeply recognizes that personal information is important information that comprises privacy and believes that all personal information must be handled carefully under the principle of respecting the individuality of individuals.The Company shall set forth the basic policy as follows and shall strive to protect personal information in order to be a company that is trusted and loved by all people including customers and clients (hereinafter referred to as “Subject Individual”) and a company that has pride in itself.

1. Purpose of use of personal information

When the Company receives provision of personal information, it shall use the personal information within the scope of the purpose indicated when the information is provided.

2. Disclosure of personal information to third parties

The Company shall not disclose personal information to any third parties, except in the following cases.

  • When consent is obtained from the Subject Individual
  • When, based on the details of the inquiry from the Subject Individual, the Company determines that it is appropriate for the Company’s affiliate company, agency, etc. to reply or respond

When the Company provides or subcontracts the processing of the personal information possessed by the Company to a third party, the Company shall give full consideration to the selection of the recipient or subcontractor, and strive to give the necessary supervision to ensure appropriate and secure protection measures are taken in the same way as the information is handled at the Company.

3. Management of personal information

The Company shall appropriately manage the personal information of Subject Individuals, and implement preventive and safety measures against unauthorized access and the loss, destruction, alteration, leak, etc. of personal information. In addition, the Company shall continue to provide education within the Company regarding the protection and appropriate handling of personal information.

4. Inquiries concerning personal information

When a Subject Individual requests an inquiry, correction, or deletion of personal information, the Company shall promptly respond to such request in accordance with the procedures designated by the Company.

5. Compliance with and revisions to the laws and standards

The Company shall comply with the applicable laws and standards concerning personal information and continuously strive to improve and enhance the initiatives for protecting personal information.

5.Personal information of minors
